Begat In the Image & Likeness of Adam

And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years,

and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image;

and called his name Seth.

Genesis 5:3

Only Adam & Eve were created. All since have been begat. Big difference. Adam & Eve were created innocent. Innocent spirit, innocent soul. All since have been begat as a sinner. Sinful spirit, sinful soul. This is why ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). This is why ALL need to be Born Again Spiritually by Holy Spirit (Romans 6:23, 2 Corinthians 5:21).

The likeness speaks of being a 3-part being…spirit, soul, and body. It is the natural spiritual soul that houses the mind, emotions, and will (decider) of a sinner.

The demonic natural spiritual mind is blind to Spiritual Truth (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). It will do all it can to prevent the Gospel Light of salvation from shining through to a lost sinner. This mind always wants to do what is right in its own thinking, having nothing to do with the thinking of God.

A Saint should never be surprised or shocked at anything the natural spiritual mind of a sinner can think or cause the sinner to do. There is no limit to the extent of evil this mind can think.

A Saint must never forget who we are trying to communicate Spiritual Truth to. Nothing other than the Gospel of the Saving Life of Christ can shine through to a sinner.
