Say What We Mean

There is an old saying. “Say what you mean, and mean what you say.”
As devastating as False Definitions are, so can be our speaking something that is not Truth…even when we mean to speak Truth. Knowing Truth explicitly (in a clear, correct, and detailed manner, leaving no room for confusion or doubt) is paramount to communicating Truth.
It is never OK to pick up on some religiously sounding statements, then repeat them, IF they are not Truth. An example from not long ago:
“Man brought sin into the world. The Man Christ Jesus took sin out of the world.”
I don’t know what was meant to be said. I only know what was said. And IF Jesus “took sin out of the world,” how do we account for sin being in the world today? Truth is: Jesus did not take sin out of the world.
The Truth is this: By Adam (one man) sin entered into the world. And death by sin. As a consequence, sin and death have been given to all who have been begat ever since Adam. By the Lord Jesus Christ, sin can be taken out (removed) from a sinner by His Grace (only God’s doing). That is what occurs at the spiritual crucifixion of the Adam spirit in a sinner at salvation.
Let us be reminded, it is never OK to carelessly read Scripture and let the carnal mind “assume” something. The Holy Scriptures are explicit. Let us be explicit also.
