Unbelieving Believers

Two of the saddest words that could be said about a Saint…unbelieving Believer.

Yes, they have believed the record gave of his Son (1 John 5:10-11).They have trusted in Jesus Christ and His atoning death and sacrifice for their forgiveness and New Birth. Yes they believe a lot of other things God has said in His Word. But…too often when it comes to some of the most crucial issues in this earthly life they fall back to a humanistic belief system.

God has promised to meet every need His Saints have in this life. Both physically and Spiritually. Yet, how many cannot believe and trust God for a job? Or, for a sense of direction? Or, for His provision of many things? And then, in important spiritual matters, how many cannot believe and trust God for His Peace at all times? Or, His Love at all times? Or, His Joy at all times? Or, His Faith (Life) at all times? Or, His Comfort at all times?

The physical is easy. Trust God for His supply and live on it. But, too often, for years a supply has been wasted and there is a lack at a given point in time. The supply has not been found wanting, but the stewardship has.

The Spiritual is easy also. Love, Joy, Peace, Faith (His Life), and His comfort are all Fruit of Holy Spirit. Already gifted to every Saint.

Believe and trust God.
